Roll Forming

/Roll Forming

The Roll Forming Division manufactures standard steel pipes and tubes for various uses as well as profiled sheets and sandwiched panels. The production process is automated and comprises of slitting steel sheet coils to the desired width, forming the sheets into the desired shape or profile, welding the section, and finally cutting at the desired length. Extra Co’s factory has the capacity to produce 150,000 metric tons annually of steel pipes and tubes and another 100,000 metric tons of sheet profiles. The Division’s 3 main product ranges are Steel Pipes, Steel Tubes, and Metal Sheet Profiles.

Steel Pipes & Tubes

Steel pipes are manufactured in different diameters (0.5″ to 4.0″), thicknesses (1.5mm to 5.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards. The uses for steel pipes vary from structural steel elements, utilities piping, scaffolding manufacturing, and others. Pipes can be ordered in different finishes: normal, black, galvanized, powder-coated, etc… and can be manufactured to any international standard required (BS, ASTM, DIN, etc…).

Steel tubes are manufactured in different shapes (sqaure or rectangular), cross sections (0.5″ to 4.0″), thicknesses (1.5mm to 5.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards. The uses for steel tubes are mainly for structural steel elements. Tubes can be ordered in different finishes: normal, black, galvanized, powder-coated, etc… and can be manufactured to any international standard requires (BS, ASTM, DIN, etc…).

Steel Structural Profiles

Extra Co can manufacture multiple different MS or GI steel profiles for structural or other miscellaneous use; such profiles including Studs, Tracks, C-Channels, Furring Channels, Z-Purlines, L-Angles, and Flat Bars. They can be ordered in different finishes: normal, black, galvanized, powder-coated, etc… and can be manufactured to any international standard required (BS, ASTM, DIN, etc…) whenever it is applicable.

Studs and tracks are manufactured in GI steel of different thicknesses (0.4mm to 1.2mm) and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. Studs can be manufactured with different base sizes (125mm, 136mm, 145mm, 166mm, and 197mm) with the standard side size (34mm) and sides extension size (6mm). Tracks can be manufactured with different base sizes (99mm, 112mm, 119mm, 141mm, and 172mm) with the standard side size (25mm). The uses for steel studs and tracks vary from structural steel elements to dry wall framing or panneling.

Furring channels are manufactured in GI steel of different thicknesses (0.4mm to 1.2mm) and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. Furring channels are manufactured with a base size of 40mm, side height of 26mm, side extensions of 8.7 mm, and side flaps of 5mm. The uses for furring channels are mainly as structural steel elements and supports.

Z-Purlins are manufactured in GI steel of different thicknesses (1.0mm to 3.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. Z-Purlins can be manufactured with different base sizes (100mm – 300mm), different side sizes (40mm, 50mm, and 60mm) and different sides extension sizes (15mm-20mm). The uses for Z-Purlins are mainly as structural steel elements and roofing or sheeting supports.

C-Channels are manufactured in different thicknesses (0.4mm to 3.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. C-Channels can be manufactured with different base sizes (50mm – 200mm), different side sizes (15mm to 100mm) and different sides extension sizes (6mm-16mm). The uses for steel C-Channels are many in the structural steel and manufacturing industry.

L-Angles are manufactured in different thicknesses (0.5mm to 4.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. L-Angles can be manufactured with different sizes (20mm to 70mm). The uses for steel L-Angles are many in the structural steel and manufacturing industry.

Flat bars are manufactured in different thicknesses (0.5mm to 4.0mm), and lengths as per the industry standards or customer requirements. Flat bars can be manufactured with different widths (30mm to 60mm). The uses for flat bars are many in the structural steel and manufacturing industry.

Metal Sheet Profiles

Metal sheet profiles are manufactured in different thicknesses (1.0mm to 3.0mm) but with set sizes and profiles. The uses for profiled sheets vary from roofing to wall sheeting, floor decking, crash barriers, and others. Profiled sheets can be ordered in different finishes: MS, GI, Zinc Alloy, Aluminum, etc? and can be in different colors also.
